What is the Observer Token and how do I receive it?
The Observer Token is a special NFT included with every Tangem wallet purchase through EOP Media. It grants access to live Agency Collective Ecosystem Update sessions for one year. After your purchase is confirmed, you'll receive instructions to claim your token and activate your access. No Agency Collective membership required.
Do I need to know about crypto to use a Tangem wallet?
No. Tangem is consistently rated the most beginner-friendly hardware wallet available. Setup takes three minutes and the app guides you through every step. If you attended an SFTA session, you may have already done this in the room.
What happens if I lose a card?
Your remaining cards still work. That's the entire point of the backup system. If you have a 3-card set, losing one card means you still have two fully functioning access points. Your funds are safe until you replace the lost card.
What if I lose the ring?
The ring set includes two backup cards. If the ring is lost, your backup cards give you complete access to your wallet. If someone else finds your ring, they cannot access your funds without your access code — and they cannot brute-force it.
Does the wallet need to be charged?
No. Cards and the ring have no battery. They're powered by NFC when you tap them on your phone — the same way a contactless payment card works. Nothing to charge, nothing to run out.
Which cryptocurrencies does it support?

Is there a seed phrase?
By default, no — and that's one of Tangem's most important design decisions. Seed phrases are the most common way people lose access to their crypto. Tangem's smart backup system replaces the seed phrase with distributed keys across your physical cards. A seed phrase option does exist for advanced users who prefer it.
Which product should I start with?
The 3-card set is the right starting point for most people. It gives you one card to use, one to store at home, and one to store offsite — the simplest, safest configuration. The ring is for people who want their wallet on their body at all times. The 2-card set works but leaves you with only one backup.
